Description Specific Locomotive History Built for the Ministry of Supply in August 1945, the loco was delivered as number ‘73796’ with works number 25642. The locomotive’s first British Railways allocation was to 66C Hamilton (West). Prior to arriving at 66C the engine had received its BR number of ‘90772’. After four years ‘90772’ was re-allocated to 66B Motherwell where it remained until withdrawal on 29th December 1962.
