Clark Railworks Finescale OO Gauge C1000Z WD 2-10-0 Austerity, WD Green ‘73755’ 'Longmoor' Era 3 Preserved - OO Gauge

Description Specific Locomotive History Built for the Ministry of Supply in April 1945 and delivered as number ‘73755’ with works number 25601. ‘73755’ was a standard 2-10-0 but happened to become the 1000th British built locomotive transported to Europe to support the rebuilding since ‘D’ day. Initially shipped to Calais with other members of the class, they were temporarily surplus to requirements and placed into store. After the locomotive had finished its active career with the WD it was sold to the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Railways) and given the number ‘5085’. The loco was active until withdrawal in 1952, when it was preserved, and now resides in the Nederlands Spoorwegmuseum in Utrecht.
