Description The proposed O Class German Battlecruisers were to be built in three versions, provisionally O, P & Q, under Plan Z, Hitler's ambitious pre-war scheme to re-equip the German Navy to challenge Britain's maritime capability. Contracts were awarded in Spring 1939 but Plan Z was abandoned less than a year later and construction of the O Class never began.
