Description Hornby R30516 RailRoad Lumo Class 803 Train Pack 803001 - OO Gauge Product Info Lumo are an open-access operator owned by FirstGroup running train services between London King’s Cross and Edinburgh Waverley using a fleet of Hitachi AT300 Class 803 electric multiple units. Five sets are currently operated, each of five cars, with a single class of accommodation throughout. Built in 2020/1 and based on the successful Class 800 IEP ‘Azuma’ design, these units don’t have auxiliary diesel engines, but instead carry batteries intended to power on-board facilities in case of overhead power failure. In December 2024, FirstGroup announced that it was acquiring a further 14 of the five car units for its expanding operations.
